The provocative theatrical trailer of The Dirty Picture has become an instant hit with worldwide audiences in the virtual space.
TDP has cemented its position as one of the hottest and most keenly awaited films of the year. Titillating and shocking, the trailer received an unprecedented number of views within six days of its release in the online domain by Balaji Motion Pictures’ sister brand, Alt Entertainment.

More than two million viewers (and still counting) have seen and commented on the trailer on various sites and social media platforms. It can also be viewed on dirtypicture.timesofindia.com. The promo features a voluptuous Vidya Balan as a controversial south screen siren, along with a man who lusted for her (Naseeruddin Shah), loved her (Tusshar) and hated her (Emraan Hashmi).
The best names from the media and B-Town have tweeted in superlatives about the film’s clutter-breaking trailer. Said film critic Rajeev Masand, “One of the best trailers I have seen in recent times.” Karan Johar said, “The promo is amazing.” Trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated, “The trailer makes a stunning impact.”
Says producer Ekta Kapoor, “This film has been made from the heart and not the head. We hope that this will be one of the most sensational films to come out of Balaji.”
The Dirty Picture, from the makers of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, has been directed by Milan Luthria, and releases worldwide on December 2.
